I would just like to say that you are obviously a very disgruntled employee or ex-employee if that is the case. I have been a Lowe's associate for the last 3 years, I've worked in many departments and I've been a cashier. I love my job... I have never had an issue that I could not handle myself. I have also worked at several different Lowe's locations and I have never once talked to a manager that didn't know anything about their respective departments.
I'm not sure if you have a learning problem or if you just don't pay attention but those "10 minute" tests that you referred to are really hour long training sessions that let you interact.
I to am a woman but I have never been passed up by any position that I have applied for. Did you ever stop and think that you may have been passed up for the job because you put yourself on a pedestal and you really aren't that good?!
I am trained in 14 out of the 18 departments in the store, I have held many positions and I am currently Loss Prevention which is considered a "mans" job. Why don't you stop complaining about the fact that you couldn't hack it as a Lowe's employee and leave the comments for the people that know how the company works. Or better yet, leave the comments for the people that actually work there.
Dear Mrs Mann,

Take care.
