With unemployment up and predicted to go higher, we're all looking for ways to make our money work harder and go farther. One way to do that is to repurpose furniture into something else for a fraction of the cost. We illustrate this with a 100 bottle wine cabinet made with an Pax Wardrobe cabinet and some Omar wine racks from IKEA.

Two repurposed bookshelves for paint and garden supplies

Doing a home improvement project doesn't necessarily mean going out and buying brand new ecologically sound products and spending money. Repurposing old book shelves and old IKEA kitchen cabinets headed for the landfill is not only green, but saved us $1,200 plus. We also found over $400 in our garage doing this project.
